I noticed you provide continuing professional development training. I am a student/non- professional accountant so does it mean CPDhours.com is not for me?

CPD hours courses can be taken by professionals, students, bookkeepers, and other non-professional
accountants. As a student/non-professional you are welcome to take any course but the most in-
demand courses are practical training courses for you.

What is the difference between practical training and professional development courses?

Our practical training courses are designed for students, bookkeepers, and professionals who are
starting or are in the initial years of their accounting & tax practice. It will cover real-life client files using
common industry software such as CCH tax prep. Over the last decade, we have helped many
accountants who are now running their practice successfully.
The professional development courses are on specialized topics of interest. These are tailored to
meet the continuing educational needs of experienced accountants.

What is a continuing professional development (CPD) hour?

Professional organizations such as CPA Canada require their full members (CPAs) to
complete mandatory CPA hours. CPAs must complete the following requirements.
  • Annual requirement (based on a calendar year) - Must complete a minimum of 20 hours out of which 10 hours should be verifiable.
  • At least 120 hours of CPD every three years out of which 60 hours should be verifiable.
  • Submit the annual declaration between April 1 to June 1.

Do your courses qualify for CPD hours?

What is the difference between you and let’s say CPA Canada or CPD formula?
